I am 20 years old and based in Howlong NSW near Albury. I started riding when I was very little and started competing when I was about 8 or so. I had many great ponies that taught me so much. As a 13 year old, Rockingham No Reason aka Boris was purchased for me. He was a 5 year old and stood at 17hands competing prelim eventing. He was much younger and much younger and much less experienced than we were looking for but we decided to buy him because he was so quiet. Best decision ever. He has gone over and above expectations and is now competing and winning at 3* level. Together we have won both Sydney and Melbourne Junior 1*, Sydney 2* this year and we had a win in our very first 3* at Canberra. I now have a great team of young and up and coming horses that I own and some wonderful clients horses too. I'm a very lucky girl and I love what I do. I have a great bunch of kids I teach also. This all keeps me very busy as well as part time study at Charles Sturt University in Albury.

I am 21 years old and currently based in Western Australia. I started riding when I was 5 years old, after I begged my parents for lessons day in day out, and then eventually got my first pony when I was 7. I started competing at 9 years old and haven’t looked back since.
At present I have 3 of my own horses in full work. Kinnordy Gatow; I purchased half way through 2012 and is currently my most experienced mount. Together we have achieved many accomplishments, including riding at an international level and representing Australia in the Young Rider Oceania Championships in 2014. We upgraded to 3*** in the second half of 2014, finishing in 2nd place at Wooroloo 3DE in the CIC3* class, our first 3* start. Currently we are working towards Sydney 3DE in May, followed by progressing towards AI3DE in November with the hope to complete our first 4**** together. Kinnordy Gigi; I have had for 7 years now and since purchasing her as a 3 year old have successfully competed to 2** level. Kinnordy Rhani; I have also had since a 3 year old. She is now 6 years old and has come along in leaps and bounds, recently successfully completing her first 1* start. ‘Rhani’ has achieved numerous wins and placing’s as she has been coming up through the grades. I am extremely excited and optimistic about ‘Rhani’s’ future and am hopeful that she will be my next international mount.
I have many goals set for 2015 and am looking forward to working my hardest to reach them!

My riding career started a little later that most, coming from a 'non horsie' family. I made up for lost time when I left school and became a working pupil for Sharmayne Spencer. The horses I had for about 3 years were various thoroughbreds off the track, until I moved to England to work for Zara Phillips. It was there I had a brilliant stroke of luck in finding 'Trevalgar II' through a good friend. He was unwanted, but very well bred and super sweet. On returning home I bought another thoroughbred off the track and named him "Friday Street" after the street I lived on in England.
Those 2 boys are now my top horses. Trevalgar II and I have won CIC3*'s and completed our first 4* at Adelaide. Friday Street has many successes in 2* and is looking to have a 3* start this year. Along with them I have some nice young horses coming up through the grades, some thoroughbreds and some purpose bred. My showjumping husband Nick and I run a busy equestrian center in Wilberforce where we are always coaching riders, schooling horses and competing client horses.

I began my riding career as an eventer and was very lucky to find myself an incredible partner that took me from Introductory to 2 star in just over a 12 months, gaining us a place on the YR squad. Dutch taught me the world about jumping, but not so much about dressage!! After a few more CIC horses I realised that I should probably take the time to go and really focus on my flat work to be a more rounded competitor, and from that point I never looked back. Ive been very lucky to have been given the ride on some fantastic horses to school, compete and sell, and also have some great students that I love watching progress with their horses, but my main focus is on breeding and competing my own horses.
We have some fantastic young horses incorporating some of the great dressage lines of Sando Hit, Donnerhall, furstenball and Olympic Ferro. My main current competition horse Delandro, is a 4yo mare by alessandro who this year has placed 3rd and 6th in the 4yo class at DWTS and 2nd and the SA state championships, and recently winning the young Horse at the SA spring championships, who shows a great potential to be the Grand Prix horse I’ve always dreamed of. She will be heading back to Werribee for the Vic DF and DWTS and we also have plans to hopefully do an embryo Transfer with her in between so have a very busy and exciting 12 months ahead!

I am based in North-East Victoria and have successfully evented up to two star with my horse Mister Bogart. Currently I have a young off the track horse who is ticking along nicely in the lower grades of eventing. He, along with some lovely client horses, keep me well and truly busy outside of my job as a teacher.
I purchased Mister Bogart (Boags) when I was at university in Wagga. He was at the time being used for stock work but his original owners thought he might have some jumping talent and knew that I was looking for a new horse. With the help of my coaches Marcia Williamson and Gordon Bishop I have schooled him from a young thoroughbred to two star. Boags has proved to be a quirky and naughty individual along the way and was well known at the university stables for his destructive tendencies. All people knew that leaving any gear or equipment within the vicinity of him would most likely result in its demise!
He has progressed up the grades at a reasonable pace, picking up placings along the way. As with all horses in the eventing game we have had our fair share of struggles and issues (the current one being a strong aversion to skinny brush fences) but that is what I love about this sport. It is dynamic and challenging and pushes your determination and perseverance every step of the way.
I adore the Black Horse Products and enjoy every new season release of products to fill up both my competition and at home riding wardrobe. The clothing is stylish, durable and competitively priced. You can’t beat it for quality and affordability!

I am 26 years old and am based in Benalla in North East Victoria. I have always had an interest in horses and began riding at a very early age. I attended Benalla Pony Club for many years where I enjoyed a variety of disciplines. In my teenage years my focus turned to Show Jumping where I was part of the Victorian Junior Show Jumping Squad and competed in open A&B classes.
Pony Club also gave me many great experiences. I was lucky enough to be selected to represent Australia at the Interpacific Exchange in New Zealand and attend National competitions in Sydney and Toowoomba.
After purchasing Jirrima Anchorman (Nigel) my focus then turned to eventing. I have loved working with this talented horse and together we have progressed through the levels and I am now competing at 2*. I was so thrilled with how Nigel has stepped up to this level of competition. He is such a reliable team mate and together we have had some exciting placings at this level. Most recently placing 3rd at the Victorian State Championships. I am now aiming to complete at both Melbourne and Adelaide Three Day Events this year and hope that a 3* start may not be out of the question.
I absolutely love Black Horse Clothing. The range, quality and affordability of their clothing is amazing. I am very lucky to be part of this amazing team and hope that I can do them proud this season.

I am excited to see what 2017 has in store for us and to be apart of the Black Horse team.

I’ve been riding since I can remember - skipped the small ponies and went straight to enormous thoroughbreds. I’ve tried just about everything from track riding and pre breakers to vaulting but found my place in eventing.
At 24 years old I’ve finally completed university and diving head first into bringing on my 5 year old mare, Akupheli Supernova, better known as Naalah. Naalah is my once in a life time horse who makes everything so easy. Hopefully I’ll pilot her to the big stages in high level eventing. Naalah placed at the 2017 Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, in the 4/ 5 year old Event Horse Class at only her second competition.
I compete every second weekend across show jumping, eventing and dressage and every kind of weather never shows in my Black Horse Clothing - always stands the test! So excited and privileged to be a part of the Black Horse Clothing team as we pursue our goals, colour coordinated every step of the way!

I have been riding all my life, and spent most of my childhood chasing sheep and cows, mostly bareback, on my pony in rural New Zealand. Opening gates was for the faint hearted, and my sister and I would jump gates and fences without a second thought. My competition career started in eventing and showjumping, however I soon realised I was good at the dressage and cross country phases but was so busy getting the perfect stride in the showjumping that I interfered too much. Turning to straight dressage was a natural progression, however I have also competed in western events and at one time held a trainer’s licence and trained a city winning galloper.
I have owned my small tour mare Waterfords Tiffany since she was 2, and have trained her all the way myself. She is a huge character with a cheeky generous nature and keeps life interesting. I bred my younger horse, Rosabaya DDS, and I’m so proud of how she has turned out. In 2017 I will be working on improving Tiff’s small tour scores, and moving Rosabaya up from elementary to medium.
I’m so lucky and proud to be a Black Horse Clothing ambassador, I love colour coordinating and the clothes are so comfortable and functional.

My name is Erin Funk and I’m a dressage rider currently based in Vancouver, Canada with my imported Warmblood, Highliner. I’m more widely known for my many years spent as an event rider in Australia, having competed up to 2** level on Ella Azure, 1* level on Cloverfern Graduette and more recently winning the 5yo Young Event Horse class at Melbourne International on Arctic Royal Rose.
In 2016 my husband Charles and I made the decision to move to Canada in search of new job opportunities. This allowed me to travel to Spain to train with Rafael Soto, and the onto Holland and Germany to search for my next equine partner. It was around this time that I decided I wanted to focus on dressage, and after a long search found my beautiful Hector (Highliner). I stayed on in Holland to train and compete before bringing Hector to Canada.
We have gone from strength to strength in the dressage ring and I aspire to reach the highest levels of competition we can. We are also competing in showjumping and eventing – my love of jumping is still as strong as ever!
I'm so proud to be sponsored by the Australian owned Black Horse Clothing company here in Canada, and hope you can follow my adventures with the beautiful Hector on our facebook page 'Erin Funk Dressage'.
Happy riding xX

I am 30 years old and based in the Macedon ranges area in Victoria.
I have been riding horse since I was 6yrd old but only in the last 7 years have I been seriously competitive in both eventing and dressage.
I moved out from England 10 years ago and in that time I have built a super client base with students and training horses.
Eventing is what I love, currently competing at 1* on a Van Eyk horse and am hoping to progress through the levels.
I just recently sold a 6yo that I took from a baby through to Pre Novice, winner of Wandin Young Event Horse 2016.
I also love seeing my students progress and helping them along the competitive journey we are all on.
Black horse clothing has always been a favourite clothing of mine and I take pleasure in wearing the brand.

I am 19 years old and I’m based in on the North West coast of Tasmania. I
have been riding and competing since I was five years old. I run Oceana
Equestrian, a business which offers horse schooling, selling and coaching.
I currently have four horses on my competition team, three of them being
OTT thoroughbreds. Oceana Fine was bought as an intro eventer when I was 12
and we have both made our way up the grades together and are now currently
competing at 1* level and looking at making the move to 2* in the near
future. Together we have made the venture over to the ‘mainland’ for a few
trips including Interschool and Pony Club Nationals where we have had a
national win and placings. My other young horses are progressing up the
grades and showing some exciting talent.
I’m so excited to be a part of the Black Horse team! I absolutely love the
range of products and am looking forward to the season ahead.
